This is an amazing spot. We were skiing at Plattekill and the proximity to the mountain while also being in Roxbury made it a great find. The house was warm, cozy, and big enough for everyone to have their own space but be together when they wanted to be. I can imagine how this is an all seasons house! Highly recommend. It’s good for families and for a group trip, we had four adults and everyone had their own bed.

Moms and kids up for a ski trip - we loved this house.  Cozy and inviting with a kitchen that was big enough and open to the living room that it was easy to watch the kids and cook.  We enjoyed the hot tub - but be sure to bring flip flops or other shoes as it's a little bit of a walk from the house. The kids loved the game room in the basement.  Comfortable beds. Close to town and Plattekill mountain where we skied. A little tricky to find the door when we showed up after dark but sorted it out eventually.  Highly recommend.

Esther’s place is truly beautiful.  We really enjoyed our time there.  She has paid close attention to details that many Airbnb hosts don’t.  The kitchen is completely equipped.  We cooked all meals at home, which was easy to do since she has all the pots, baking pans, utensils etc you could ever need. There is a lovely woodburning stove which we used quite a bit.  It was so relaxing to sit in front of the fire and gaze into the mountains.  I was initially worried that the roads to the house would be slippery, since it sits at an elevation.  They weren’t; although it was snowing every day we were there, we noticed that the roads were plowed and sanded frequently.  No slipping at all.  We went skiing at Plattekill twice during our stay - it’s an awesome mountain about ten minutes drive from the house.  The house is very spacious - two bedrooms, kitchen, large living room and a bathroom on the main floor and an awesome loft area and large master bedroom on the second floor.  It’s easy to see why Esther is a super host.  She communicates clearly and quickly.  Everything you need to know about the house and surrounding area is in a binder.  We hope to come back again!
